The Aeonic Age and the Kiss of Consciousness
The geologic time scale is a system of dating that relates geological strata to time, and is used by geologists, paleontologists, and other Earth scientists to describe the timing and relationships of events that have occurred during Earth’s history. According to science the Cenozoic era began about 66 million years ago. The time frame for the evolution of Homo Sapiens from their ancestors only began roughly 30,000 years ago. The evidence is therefore clear that humans have only been on planet Earth for a very short time.
Humans have been tracking their evolution by observing the night sky for centuries. Our ancestors watched the movements of the heavens to learn from Mother Earth. This helped us to survive by understanding the seasons and the natural world.
Ancient cultures discovered that every 2,150 years the sun’s position in the heavens shifted which they categorized as different ages or signs of the zodiac. These ages are not part of astronomy. They are an astrological age, which occurs because of a real motion of Earth known as the precession of the equinoxes, which, for example, causes the identity of the pole star to change over time. This has to do with a slow angular wobble that the earth maintains on its axis like a spinning top. This wobble is known as a precession. The amount of time it takes for the precession to go through all twelve signs is roughly 25,765 years. This is also called a ‘great year’ and ancient societies were very aware of this. They therefore referred to each 2,150 year period as an age.
Today we are passing from the Age of Pisces into the Age of Aquarius. Some say we are on the cusp of change or that we have already passed the cusp and are beginning a new age. You can decide this for yourself by simply looking at the current state of the world. For Homo Sapiens who have been around approximately 30,000 years the numbers do not lie. For the last 30,000 years we have pasted through all the ages. We are now ready to transcend the Age of Pisces into the next Age of Aquarius and the birthing of Homo Spiritus.
In astronomy an aeon is defined as a billion years. The word aeon originally meant “life”, “vital force” or “being”, “generation” or “a period of time”, though it tended to be translated as “age” in the sense of “ages”, “forever”, “timeless” or “for eternity”. Plato used the word aeon to denote the eternal world of ideas, which he conceived was “behind” the perceived world, as demonstrated in his famous allegory of the cave. Christianity’s idea of “eternal life” comes from the word for life, zoe, and a form of aeon, which could mean life in the next aeon, the Kingdom of God, or Heaven.
The Piscean Age was marked by organized religion and the material, physical reality of nature. However the Aquarian Age is marked by a metaphysical understanding of the world. This can be seen as the Quantum Physics of the Aquarian Age shapes a new world view. This new world view does not follow the rules of the standard scientific method. This new model is ushering in a new reality depending on who is observing it. This has been proven over and over again by the double slit experiment which states energy changes depending on what or who is observing it. This experiment shows that atoms will either act as a wave or a particle depending on the observer.
Carl Gustav Jung, a proclaimed gnostic, states the following in his theory of “Continuous Incarnation”.
“Each step towards a Continuous Incarnation is a step towards a higher consciousness and a new potential reality in the material world. The unconscious wants to flow into consciousness in order to reach the light. However at the same time it thwarts itself because it also wants to remain unconscious. This has become known as the individuation process. It will function unconsciously. But it is man’s duty to carry through this process consciously”.
As the Aeonic Age asserts itself individuals will knowingly offer themselves as incarnating vessels of the Holy Spirit. This will begin individually but as more and more seekers pursue the path of gnosis an awakened spirit will come to behold a collective consciousness. The psyche will no longer be carried by Piscean religious communities, but instead it will be carried by the Aquarian Age of conscious individuals participating in the universal adoration of the God and Goddess of love.
As we continue to shift away from old fear based systems built on bad habits and ignorance we will envision a new reality for ourselves. This new reality is based on hope and abundance rather than fear and poverty.
Nothing can stop the ushering in of a new Aquarian Age. However what can happen is people may choose to remain ignorant and unconscious of its presence which will only permit the shadow side of humanity to dominate. If this happens humanity will suffer needlessly. But if we choose to wake up then much human suffering can be avoided and humanity can exist in cooperation rather than domination. Collaborative societies have existed in the past. These societies embraced not only God but the Goddess. So for the future of humanity to awaken from the grip of the shadow it must return to the loving embrace of the Goddess.
To be awakened by the kiss of consciousness means we must courageously embrace intimacy in our lives and live as authentic peoples. To become authentic we must know ourselves and be willing to share what we know with others. In turn others must share themselves with us as we unconditionally receive them into our hearts. Then as a unified people we will all be able to share in the abundance of Mother Earth.
This may sound utopian to some. However the alternative would be unforgiveable. We are already witnessing individuals who fearing their shadows are prepping for conflict and any calamity. Conspiracy theories abound and are shaping the minds of the ignorant. The “prepping culture” which has taken root in society is a diversion tactic cast by the shadow which is based on fear. We therefore need to answer these fears with the counter practice of loving kindness through gnosis.
As we look around we can see much failed intimacy in the world. In its wake we find indifference. This indifference leads to isolation which is the primary ingredient of failed intimacy. The world will become more protectionists and instead of building bridges it will build walls. Instead of prioritizing what can save the human race we will prioritize what will dam it. This is why governments are still developing weapons of mass destruction rather than instruments of creative determination.
Plato had the foresight to warn that “the penalties for refusing to participate in politics is that you end up being governed by your inferiors”. What are we to become if we continue to let the ignorant and greedy conspirators of society rule the nations of the planet.
Once again let us reflect on the words of Plato, “Justice in life and conduct of the State is possible only if it first resides in the hearts and souls of the citizens”. I therefore urge all humanity to seek gnosis first and all other forms of goodness will follow.
Today we are experiencing not only political decay but a frightening spiritual decay. This type of impoverishment can only give momentum to fascist moral corruption. Our world is being traumatized by elitism and the only way out is to confront the perpetrator of corporate and political abuse. Canadians may be better off than others but if we do not support those being traumatized it will only be a matter of time before the abuser is knocking at our door and borders. As Canadians we have an opportunity to become a place of refuge for the victims of this ever growing fascism. We can do this by investing in activities that possess a soul and foster a renewal in the transcendent virtues of human kind. To do otherwise would be to live in denial and participate in erecting walls of indifference.
When citizens become active civil society can change peacefully. However if citizens wait for the preverbal knock on the door any act of free speech will be viewed as a form of civil disobedience and punished. As Canadians we must act as citizens of planet Earth to inspire one another and the world. We must take active participation in the renewal of a soulful democracy. A soulful democracy which can stand up to the kleptocracy of corrupt corporate greed which is now howling within the political corridors of power. As citizens we now have the power to make government act on behalf of its citizenry. However if we wait, the howling will hunt free speech down and devour it in the streets. The time to act, and the time for gnosis is now. Through the growth and evolution of gnosis both individually and collectively all can be accomplished through non-violent citizen ecumenism.
The power exists to create positive change in the here and now. This is revealed to us in a verse from the Gospel of Gnosis. “My hand is on the man I have chosen. First go to the places good men go. Then go to those other places and they will follow” This is the gnosis of Christ consciousness for the world to consume.
