THE FOG – Mask of Eternity
The other day I watched a well know politician on a television talk show. After listening to him speak with the host he seemed rather normal. In fact he actually seemed less than normal. He seemed to be not only average but of a lesser intelligence than me or you.
It seems people function well behind the curtain. But bring them out of the theatre of their normal domain and the masks they wear are no longer effective in protecting them from public examination. The same can be said about sports figures, media or movie stars. They always just turn out to be normal everyday people like you and me. I believe this is a good thing. It equalizes and removes people from pedestals. However there will always be people who are demoralized when they find out their idol is nothing special. As a result they do all they can to continue to prop them up. This type of fantasy and self-delusion is unfortunate and just becomes sad. However in some instances it can become dangerous when these idols are in places of power. For the weak and simple minded who prefer to live a life of fantasy and self-delusion become their co-accomplices in creating fascist and dictatorial regimes which are the new delivery systems of death.
For instance by first world standards it is ok to shoot, bomb and rape people in many second and third world countries. This sounds harsh but it is true. And to prove my point I only have to ask one question. What are you doing about it? Probably nothing because we have put our trust in first world politicians to do the right thing on our behalf. After all aren’t those of us who live in first world countries consider civilized. But are we civilized? Are we not just victims of a new and more subtle delivery system of death. As poverty begins to soar and the middle class disappears under the jack boots of militarized police forces we in the first world are also becoming victims of the reaper of death. We vote for politicians who lie. We fight wars for corporate elites who rape patriots and don’t care how many people die as long as they remain in power. When these power mongers gather they say among themselves with sadistic grins, are there not too many people in the world anyway? Recall history prior to the French Revolution when those starving were told to just eat cake.
Many of these undeserving elitist individuals and groups have become the new delivery systems of death in the first world. And the ironic or moronic thing is these individuals are supported and propped up by the very people who are dying. It is no different than the Jonestown mass suicide when everyone drank Kool Aid. For example I am always dumbfounded listening to American’s who do not have universal health care but support politicians who are totally against health care for the sick and poor. The Kool Aid the American public is drinking must be very powerful if it can get the masses to protest against the very thing that can improve their quality of life. For some reason they would rather die. Please explain this to me! All I can think of is the mask these swindlers wear has been perfected behind the curtain of elitism resulting in everyday people being victimized without them even becoming aware of it. For instance, does the word bailout mean anything to you? These con-men and con-woman get the confidence of the masses and then steal right out of their pockets. They steal money, they steal universal health care, they steal education, they steal prescription drug care and child daycare for the working class. They steal everything that will help the middle class flourish. They steal and steal because if the middle class flourishes the one percent will lose control. And once they lose control the con is over. The curtain is pulled down and what will appear behind the mask is the new face off death itself.
No matter what anyone tells you the world was not meant to be ruled over by elitist cast systems in bed with church and state. It was not made to be divided up by land barons by the name of Rockefeller, Carnegie, Morgan, Windsor or the House of Windsor’s representative general’s in Indian affairs. A person’s family or place of birth should not make the rest of us indentured servants. Old and outdated systems of power and control which became our models of government are based on the rich getting richer and the rest of us towing the line of status quo so elitist can remain members of an aristocracy which is out of touch with reality. Human greed has always been a powder keg for revolution. Monetary systems have always fostered conflict and abused resource systems and the world has had enough of this mentality.
Eonomists are the new hucksters who have made speculation a science. This science is so convoluted that no one knows how to sift through the gibberish. So why bother. Let’s just trust the economist and elitist to look after us. No! No! No! and No! As stated the world was not designed to be ruled by greed. It was meant to be shared in community. Resource base systems are being primed to replace monetary systems. Just think if it. What would happen if monetary systems of greed no longer dominated economies and a resource based system of equality was responsible to monitor the common good? Business models would shift from greed to need. Slavery would truly be eliminated and free men and women could all share in the fair distribution of wealth. A wealth that would not be at the expense of all life on the planet.
Fossil fuels are finished, but not yet obsolete. They are dead but continue to poison the zombie minds of capitalist politicians, economist, fundamental religious and self-espoused imperialist alike. There has always been enough for all so why don’t we share? Why do people rape the earth of resources in Wall Street zombie feeding frenzies? Are we fighting a losing battle? Has the current suicidal and psychotic economic engine gotten too big to be corrected? Do we just give up and accept our lot in life as long as we have our distractions and entertainments? Is a solitary voice in the wilderness just some crazy person to be ignored? Who will be the last generation of humans and why? Will it be you, your children, grandchildren, great grandchildren? Who knows best? Is it the voice of silicone valley or the voice of the wildman and crone in the forest who can lead us all back from the brink of extinction? What will it take for humanity to wake up? A great person once said, “Let us become the change we want to see in the world.” We need to take personal responsibility for all our futures. And as we do so the starfish principle will evolve into a global collective response. We are indeed a collective of ordinary people who must reclaim our rights as citizens of planet earth.
