THE FOG – Hello and Goodbye
Every life has a beginning and an ending. Then the life cycle begins again. Hopefully the next time as a more enlightened human being. This is the common fate of humanity. We must therefore learn to embrace our fate. This is expressed in the maxim “Amor Fati” or “love your fate”. I began writing this series of BLOG’s on March 23, 2015 with an introduction and a hello. Now I say goodbye. As I have aged I spent much of my life trying to help others reflect and gain some insight into their lives. One of the discoveries I have made along my journey is that all God really asks of us is to get along. This is not a formal request. It is more of an invitation to join and participate in the natural order. To love one another! This one truth is the only truth which is worth pursuing above all else. To live a life worthy of the great gift of love is a grace that we receive from our Creator. What we do with it is up to us.
Now that I am a sexagenarian I have spent much of my life helping others to find themselves. This has been an honour and a privilege. However along the way I seemed to have lost sight of who I am. So as I prepare for the next phase of life the time has come to look deeper within. This time with the “soul” purpose of discerning, am I what God intended me to be? After all these years have I missed the mark or am I on track to cross over the next great threshold of time and space? I know I have made many mistakes but I have few regrets. Evolution is a learning curve and to prepare for what is beyond the horizon one must take time to be alone with both God and Goddess. When “letting go” is complete then completely “letting” is the next act of union with the Great Spirit.
Some of us are called to be larger than life but most of us are called to be life itself. For the majority life has been a daily effort to survive, learn and ultimately love. Until the end of life in the body we must always begin and end each day being human. For our own benefit and the benefit of the world. This is why saying hello and goodbye is so important. This is why beginnings and endings are so important. This is why each life born into a body will one day end and begin something anew. There is no stopping this. We all die in the body, “Memento Mori”, “remember you to will die”. Some enter death kicking and screaming while others embrace it. If we live life and learn its teachings then we will be prepared for this goodbye when it comes.
No matter how much good or evil humans are capable of we have been born for one purpose. That purpose is to love. To find love is to be one with creation and to return to the source. To return to the beginning of a loving universe. Therefore the answer to Einstein’s question is yes the universe is friendly and loving.
Today I embrace the future. Today I knock on the door of Homo Spiritus and ask to enter and commune with the Goddess and God of love. This will be my last BLOG. Maybe forever or maybe just for now. So not knowing what the future holds I will say goodbye for now.
